All right, it seems that it is finally timetoget this chapter in the Resident Evil saga underway. As thegamebegins, you will find yourself in the midst of an Africanvillage.There won't be any hostiles yet,so just sprint straightahead, andit won't be long before you come across a group ofvillagersbeating on some pour fellow. Slow down here to avoidattracting anyunwanted attention. Follow the path past the thugsand sprint aheadto activate a cut scene and a check point.Once the scene is over, sprint straight ahead towards the"CornerPyamy Butcher".Take the path to the right when you can to the back alley. Lookfora door to the left and tap the Action button a few times to kickitopen. Go up to the main inside and hit the Action buttontoactivate another scene. Let us begin by going over to theshinybriefcase to the left. You should know by now that shinybriefcasesdenote a weapon. Inside is the H&K MP5 Machine Gun.Next, go towork on the Wooden Barrel and Crate in the corner. Don'tforget toshoot the very first B.S.A.A Emblem that's on the wall, totheright of the door and to the left of a barred window. Afterdoingso, head through the metal door to the next area. You'll nowfindyourself outside. Turn right and sprint towards the storagecrates.If you have a Sniper Rifle, pull it up and look towards thesky, tothe left. You should see a crossbow-yielding Majini perchedup top.Dispose of him and turn your attention back to ground level.Notethe little laser trap here. Take out your Handgun (if youhaven'talready), and aim towards the box on the wall to theright.Stayrelatively clear (don't have to be too far) so theexplosion won'thurt you. Now continue on wards into the littlestorage crate mazeand you should see some Majini. One will chargeat you immediately.The other doesn't really have his attentiontowards you, but he'llprobably run away when you aim. Take him outand continue onto thepath on the right. Shortly after,you'll see another not-so-subtle trap. You know what to do.Continuedeeperinto the maze, and viola, some flesh eating dogs! If you stillhaveyour shotgun, pull it out and start blasting. Now turn to thepathon the right (away from where the dogs came from). Anothertrap.Blast it and move into the path it was protecting. AnotherMajinishould attack you at this point, so just be mindful. Sub-Zero’s basis for attack revolvesaroundsetting up the opponent with his middle attacks and using theColdSlide. Sub-Zero’s Cold Slide is extremely fast, can be added totheend of almost any combo, and has extremely quick recovery timewithonly a few characters able to uppercut it in certainsituationsafter blocking. With Sub-Zero’s limitations from afar(his IceNugget is easy to see coming), he is best used within-closeattacks, and jump-in Combo Initiators connecting to hisAway + 4juggling middle attack. Each successful pop-up allowsSub-Zero tocombo the opponent with various standing Attack 1s, thenconnectwith an Icy Counter. You can juggle your opponent with anIcyFreeze in combos as well, but there are limitations on thenumberof hits you can perform in a combo that ends withan Icy Freeze, ending in your opponent just falling to theground.If you are good enough to connect Sub-Zero’s Attack 4,always trytoconnect it to an Icy Freeze. To put it bluntly, Raiden has it all. Intheright hands, he is an immensely strong character bothoffensivelyand defensively.Offensively, he can stick to an opponentlike gluedue to his ability to combo any of his attacks (and chaincombos)into his Teleport. The constant change in direction can bereallyconfusing to an opponent and with the right succession ofattacks(a Static Fury combo into a Teleport followed by a lowattack suchas his Fast Rear Kick), you can render a foe clueless asto what orwhere you’re going to attack next. Add the fact that youcan comboanything into his infamous Superman or the Vicinity Blastandyou’ve got a recipe for a godly offense.Defensively, his Vicinity Blast and Lightning Bolt are hard todealwith, because both moves have almost the same start-upanimationwhile covering two different ranges (the Lightning Bolt isa fullscreen projectile and the Vicinity Blast is a more compactshotwith huge collision, perfect for anti-air purposes).Plus he can break out of either move with the ProjectileCancel.This can lead to an opponent jumping in to get over whatthey thinkwill be a Lightning Bolt, only to be hit with a VicinityBlast.Raiden also has the ability to Pro Move from his LightningBolt(charged or not) into his Vicinity Blast. Besides that,get that Art book and a couple Radishes so we can makeBoiledRadish, which gives us 1,500 Spirit andboosts Defense for a while.
